Making Breastfeeding Work for Medical Offices is a five-point toolkit to guide health care offices in developing policies and practices for optimal lactation support. The recommendations are aligned with the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, and the World Health Organization. This program was developed by Boulder County Public Health for use statewide.

We are recognizing and promoting health care offices that have made lactation support a priority. Programs that receive this recognition will receive a certificate, a “Lactation Friendly” window cling, and will be listed on our website.

Use the Making Breastfeeding Work for Medical Offices toolkit for completing the steps. Meet all five criteria listed in the toolkit.
